Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Granit Ultra 2100i and 2105i?
The 2100i is corded (USB, RS-232, keyboard wedge), the 2105i is cordless with Bluetooth and a charge and communication base. Scan engine, housing and sealing are identical. The 2100i is specified for -30 °C to 50 °C, the 2105i for -20 °C to 50 °C.
Which variant do I need for high-bay racking?
The XLR variant is designed for location labels at height: it reads Code 128 at 20 mil up to 7.5 m. If distances alternate between near and far, the XR variant up to 2.8 m is often sufficient. Label size and print quality are decisive; we are happy to test with your labels.
Does the Granit Ultra read direct part marks?
Yes. According to the manufacturer, the series reads printed and direct part marked codes (DPM). The HD variant is intended for very small codes; it reads Code 128 at 10 mil up to 147 mm.
How long does the 2105i battery last?
According to the manufacturer, the 3,300 mAh battery delivers up to 100,000 scans per charge. With a power supply or USB BC1.2 it is fully charged in under 4 hours.
How does scan data get into my ERP?
The scanner sends data to your application as keyboard input or via a serial or USB interface. We set up the connection to your ERP or industry software with you.
