FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is the ProGlove MAI connected?

On Android via the Insight Mobile app, which passes data via SDK, intent, MQTT, WebSocket or as keyboard input; on iOS via an SDK. For PCs or terminals, a ProGlove Gateway handles the connection, for example via USB or TCP/IP.

How is scanning triggered?

With the trigger on the Hand Strap Gen2. Alternatively, the touch display or one of the four buttons can be configured as trigger; double or triple trigger depends on the integration.

How long does the battery last?

According to the manufacturer, the 1,250 mAh battery lasts one to two shifts using display, touch and buttons over Bluetooth LE. In Charging Station Gen 2 it charges in about 120 minutes.

Can the MAI be used in the cold?

The MAI is specified for -10 °C to 50 °C. For freezer areas we recommend the Zebra RS5100 with freezer battery.
