FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What distinguishes the 1960g from the 1962g?

The 1960g is corded, the 1962g is cordless with Bluetooth 4.2 and a presentation charge and communication base. Scan engine, housing size and IP52 sealing are identical.

Can I keep using my Xenon XP 1950g cables?

According to the manufacturer, existing Xenon XP 1950 cables can be reused for new deployments. We are happy to check which cables and holders you use.

Battery or supercapacitor?

According to the manufacturer, the battery delivers up to 80,000 scans per charge and suits longer walks. The battery-free supercapacitor variant delivers at least 450 UPC and EAN scans per charge, which suits workstations where the scanner regularly returns to its base; the manufacturer gives it a 5-year warranty instead of 1 year for the battery.
