One engine for near and far
There are many near and far scan engines – but until now none was small enough for a full-touch form factor. With FlexRange, a Honeywell Dolphin CT40, for example, scans barcodes at 10 centimetres just as well as at 10 metres. One device type covers a wide range of applications – simplifying management, standardising accessories and saving you from bending and stretching.
Two optics make the engine extremely fast, because it does not need to autofocus. And because no moving parts are required, it is especially rugged and drop-resistant.

Extended FlexRange

The Extended FlexRange Scan Engine is designed for warehouses and distribution centres: it reads barcodes seamlessly from 10 centimetres to 20 metres – for example packaging labels on shelves at any height. At close range it works with a wide-angle reading field of 42°.

The right engine depends on barcode size, material, lighting conditions and influences such as glass panes or films. These scan types are available:
