The operating-system question for mobile computers still occupies many companies: now that Windows has ended support for its mobile operating systems, Honeywell will consequently soon no longer offer any Windows mobile devices either.

Nevertheless, attempts are made to “freeze” operating systems – including old Android versions – in the belief that work can continue without problems in a shielded environment. This is a fallacy: frozen OS versions remain vulnerable.

In line with the discontinuation of Honeywell support for mobile Windows versions and the end of support for Android 6, Honeywell has discontinued the WEH 6.5 devices as well as the following Android devices:
