The concept

Smart printing without a host computer

The PD45 comes with standard features such as smart printing: applications run directly in the printer, and settings can be configured and fine-tuned without a PC – making a connection to a host computer largely unnecessary.

Built with a minimum of internal mechanical parts and an all-metal frame structure, the PD45 is especially rugged and durable. The large glass window shows the status of the printer and consumables at any time, and the side opening makes loading ribbon and media convenient.

Technology & maintenance

Precise media feed, easy handling

The PD45S runs on an Arm Cortex-A7 processor (800 MHz), 128M of memory and 128M DDR3 SDRAM. Two sets of adjustable pressure bars and dual media guides ensure precise media feed and prevent creases in the ribbon as well as smudging during printing.

Thanks to the ergonomic design, the printhead and front sensor are easy to replace – making cleaning and roller changes simpler. Extensive accessories, from a wireless network card and industrial GPIO to peel-off, rewind and cutting devices, cover a wide range of applications.
