OPEN POSITION

Junior Chief of Staff (f/m/d)

Wetzikon · Full-time · Hybrid · Starting immediately
THE ROLE

Close to the decisions that shape the group.

OPAL makes the physical world readable. Our RFID and Auto-ID solutions provide the identity layer that modern supply chains run on, from the factory floor to the shelf. We are not a start-up, but we do not feel like a big corporate either: short decision paths, clear calls, zero politics.

Four principles hold us together: Earn trust. Create clarity. Own outcomes. Do what is right. Say them out loud at OPAL and you will quickly find they are more than a poster on the wall.

We are not looking for someone to manage a calendar. We are looking for someone who thinks alongside the CEO, turns complexity into clarity and actually gets things done. You will sit at the centre of where the group is moving fastest: the ongoing ERP and CRM transformation, the integration of newly acquired locations, the decisions shaping the next few years. This is not a job you do. It is one you grow into, with a clear path toward becoming the CEO right hand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What to expect.

  • Work closely with and support the CEO on strategic and operational matters across the group
  • Prepare, steer and follow up on decision papers, meetings and projects for the executive team
  • Coordinate group-wide initiatives including the ongoing ERP and CRM transformation and the integration of newly acquired teams and locations
  • Build and develop KPIs, reporting and decision-support material for the executive team
  • Act as the interface between the CEO, the functional departments and the country entities in Switzerland, Germany and Austria
  • Actively drive improvements in processes, structures and governance
  • Take ownership of special projects and lead their implementation
  • Represent the CEO in selected internal meetings, projects and working groups
QUALIFICATIONS

Who fits here.

  • Education: A completed degree, for example in business administration or industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience: Up to five years of professional experience in operations, project management, consulting or corporate management, ideally one to four years
  • Mindset: A mind that enjoys complexity but stays hands-on
  • Attitude: Discretion, initiative and an entrepreneurial instinct
  • Communication: The ability to communicate persuasively at every level of the organisation
  • Drive: An appetite for responsibility and for getting things done fast
  • Languages: Good German and English language skills
