OPAL’s WLAN analysis brings you transparency and clarity. WLANs are becoming ever more important and expectations are rising – networks that were once well covered suddenly no longer suffice.
THE CORE PROBLEM
When the WLAN can no longer keep up
More and more devices use the scarce 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz space, and applications’ demands on roaming and bandwidth keep rising. As a result, networks that were once well covered may suddenly no longer meet requirements. Ad-hoc patchwork – such as simply hanging up additional access points – then often makes the situation even worse.
THE EXPERTISE
Communications engineers for volatile environments
OPAL has more than 20 years of experience in surveying, installing and supporting WLAN networks in industrial environments. Our communications engineers are used to working in volatile environments full of interference sources and to enabling wireless communication with the best roaming characteristics – for vehicle-mounted terminals, for example. We have the right tools to find sources of faults and the know-how to eliminate or work around them.
You receive answers to any user questions and extensive evaluations of WLAN connectivity, performance, roaming, interference and security matters.
THE ANALYSIS
Complete insight into the physical layer
Our WLAN analysis identifies RF interference and problems in your environment – including non-WLAN devices such as Bluetooth devices, cordless phones or microwave ovens. This includes a complete inventory of all Wi-Fi devices in the vicinity. The reports contain charts on AP signal strength, channels used by speed, address and media, the top 10 APs by CRCs/retries, channel occupancy and utilisation, as well as graphical displays showing how strongly individual interference sources affect the WLAN.

AT A GLANCE
The key contents of the WLAN analysis
- →Accurate, independent and reliable analysis and evaluation of 802.11 a/b/g/n and 802.11 ac WLAN – without affecting data traffic
- →Support in locating and resolving connectivity problems and interference sources
- →Detection of security vulnerabilities and threats, including with BYOD
- →Auditor-ready compliance reports including wireless PCI compliance, ISO and SOX
With OPAL’s WLAN analysis, you bring the expertise in-house.
