Industrial Networks

We keep you connected.
Everywhere.

Mobile processes need a stable connection. We plan and build high-performance industrial networks with Wi-Fi and 5G – reliable, secure and future-proof.

What is an industrial network?

An industrial network connects mobile devices, scanners, machines and vehicle terminals reliably with your systems. High-performance Wi-Fi, WAN and 5G infrastructures are used, designed specifically for warehouse and production environments. Stable, seamless coverage is decisive so data flows and processes do not stall.

Industrial radio is not office Wi-Fi.

Metal racking, forklifts and changing loads constantly alter radio propagation: what is fine in the office collapses in high-bay racking. That is why we measure on site instead of at a desk, plan with headroom for peak load and monitor the network in operation, so your mobile data capture holds up without gaps.

Process

This is how we build a network that runs reliably.

In four steps, from the first analysis to ongoing, fully supported operation.

01Site SurveyMeasure radio coverage on site, locate sources of interference
02PlanningDefine channels, cell sizes and access point locations
03OperationInstallation, configuration and acceptance measurement
04BetriebMonitoring, fault finding and expansion

What makes your network reliable.

Where coverage is needed depends on the environment, the load and the locations. We measure conditions on site, size the network accordingly and keep it stable in operation.

What customers say about our networks.

Our Wi-Fi was fine as long as the warehouse was empty. As soon as the racks were full, forklifts were moving and many devices were working at the same time, things looked different. OPAL measured on site instead of simply adding more access points. Since the redesign we have had peace and quiet.
IT Infrastructure
The nicest feedback on our new Wi-Fi is that we no longer get any. We used to get regular reports from the warehouse about devices losing connection. Today practically nobody talks about it. To me that is a pretty good sign.
Head of IT
You could quickly tell that OPAL does not treat industrial Wi-Fi like a normal office network. High-bay racks, vehicles, changing stock levels and actual usage were all taken into account in the planning. The result is correspondingly stable.
Head of Infrastructure
You can tell a good Wi-Fi network by the fact that nobody talks about the Wi-Fi any more.

Will your network hold when the hall fills up?

We check your radio coverage and show where it falters, before it slows you down.

Frequently asked questions.

A Wi-Fi site survey measures or simulates radio coverage in your building so access points are placed correctly and dead spots are avoided.
Yes, we size wireless and WAN solutions so they stay stable even when the hall is full.
Yes, with monitoring, maintenance and fast service, so the network is up when it matters.
