THE ROLE

The technical anchor for our customers.

You have IT in your blood but want to do more than look after server landscapes? You are looking for a position where you do not just install software but shape the processes around it?

We do not deliver empty server shells: we integrate powerful labelling software into our customers existing system landscapes and help them optimise their labelling processes. As a System Engineer you make sure that labels print correctly, that data flows properly and that users work confidently with the software.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

What to expect.

  • Software integration: You install, configure and support market-leading standard solutions such as BarTender, Loftware or Codesoft on our customers systems.
  • Label design: Where needed, you translate customer and industry requirements into layouts that process dynamic data.
  • Customer support and training: You are the contact for technical questions, carry out updates, provide technical support and train the users.
  • Network integration: Alongside installing the labelling software, you set up printers with the right drivers in the existing IT infrastructure.
  • Project support: You support our professional services team on projects around our own product OPAL Labelmanagement (LBM) and get to know deeper project work along the way.
YOUR PROFILE

A solid IT foundation and practical skills.

  • Education: A completed qualification in IT, for example as an IT specialist for system integration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical foundation: You know how a Windows network and Windows servers work. IP addresses, DNS and Active Directory are tools you understand, not foreign words.
  • Understanding: You can assess why a software installation fails for lack of permissions or why a printer in a subnet cannot be reached.
  • Practical skills: Hardware installations are not part of your daily work, but we need to understand the environment our software runs in. So it can happen that you install and commission a label printer on site.
  • Soft skills: You enjoy direct customer contact, work in a service-oriented way and can explain technical matters clearly.
  • Languages: Good German and technical English.
